ACTIVITIES OF DEPARTMENT OF PHYSICS 2017-18,   

1. Swatcabharath programme conducted on 11-08-2017

Department members and students participated in Swatch Bharath programme in the department of Physics 

2.Lab on Wheels Programme conducted on 08-09-2017 at NSS Municipal High School, Ithanagar, Tenali

Dr. K. Ankama Rao explained about the functioning Spectrometer, its preliminary adjustments and its practical applications, and also explained about the working of Travelling microscope and hands on practice was done by the students.

3. Guest Lecturer conducted on 03-01-2018 in the topic 'LED Lights' by 

   Prof. K. V.R. Murthy, MS University of Baroda, Vadodara

Prof. K.V.R. Murthy explained on LED lights. An LED light is an electric light or light bulb for use in light fixtures that produces light using light-emitting diodes (LEDs). LED lights have a lifespan and electrical efficiency which are several times greater than incandescent lamps, and are significantly more efficient than most fluorescent lamps, with some chips able to emit more than 300 lumens per watt. 

4. Study Tour conducted on 27-02-2018 visiting NAGARJUNASAGAR
